The Dark UI Changes

My website, arnavchauhan.in, has one of the best UIs that I have ever designed, or probably one of the best I have ever seen in my life. It is easily in my top 10 UI designs. The design was pretty fucking good, but there was a subtle issue. It had too many colors kind of a fancy La La Land type of vibe. The design was good, ngl, but you know... something was missing, and that was my signature style: Dark and Minimal.

Whenever I design something, I consider three things: Is it dark? Is it minimal? And most importantly, even if it isn't competing with the top companies or corporations right now, what if it did? What if it were built for one of the biggest corporations in the world? If someone saw it, what would their first impression be?

That's why I try to build enterprise level work.

So anyways, before this I tried some combinations like different shades of blue and white, magenta, and many more. But in the end, I realized that dark is my way of designing anything. Even though my personal favorite color is red, which is too bright and painful to the eyes, when it comes to design I always prefer dark colors, mainly black. If I need another color, I usually choose a darker shade. For example, while working on one of my projects, I used hot pink because it still fit within that darker territory, I guess.

So my new design is insane. I believe it is not final yet, and it probably never will be. I'll keep improving it again and again until it reaches the level of perfection that I expect from myself.

The Update on the Extension

Earlier, as I mentioned if you haven't read it yet, check it out here: Chrome Extension.

My documentation and reading part is done, and making the extension is honestly not as hard as I was expecting. My comfort programming language is JavaScript, but I have to build this project using React + TypeScript, which isn't new to me at all.

Once, I made a project for a hospital. It was basically a CBSE replica. You can check it out if you want: CBSE Replica.

Now I have to do something similar, but this time React is going to suck me up because I have to build many pages like the Landing Page, Welcome Page, and more. I also have to make sure the security doesn't get compromised. So yeah, there's a lot to do, but I know I can do it because I have already started it, and now I have to finish it.

After this, I guess there will be very few projects that I'll work on because this project has been in my mind for quite a few days.

In the month of July, I wrote many blogs because I know that if I don't write things down, I'll eventually forget them. I also want to make sure I remember every phase of my website, so I'll add a History section soon where I'll showcase screenshots of different versions like V1, V2, and so on.

This blog has become like a diary for me. Well... not exactly daily, but more like an archive. Looking back at those screenshots will remind me where everything started and where I am today.
