Extension Update

The project I was working on is done. I named it FollowLens.

First, I'll explain what it is and then some more updates.

It is a Chrome extension that first checks who you are following, then who follows you back. It then analyzes who isn't giving you a follow back and gives you a list that you can filter by verified and private accounts. It's a cool idea and it will stay relevant until Instagram officially rolls out this feature.

Personally, I needed an extension that I could trust. It runs 100% locally, so all the data is stored on your device and privacy is my first priority. The logo was designed with the help of ChatGPT. I think it's good. Simple and minimalistic, just the way I prefer.

Now the only thing left is making it public... but should I?

First, I have to sign up for the Google Developer Program, which costs 5 USD. I can pay it but it kind of feels unnecessary. I don't want to pay Google a single penny because I already have two domains, arnavchauhan.in and rcbcares.org, which cost me around ₹1,500 per year. I also have a German VPS that costs €4.99 per month, which is around ₹550.

The Developer Program is a one-time payment, yet it still feels unnecessary. Anyways, I'll see what I do. If not, I might publish the source code on GitHub, but there is a very, very low chance that I'll do that because I like to keep my work as mine.

I've built over 20 websites, or maybe 18, I honestly lost count. Many of them are portfolios, games, company websites, and other random projects. I've only published around 7 or 8 of them. I don't think I'll ever open-source the rest because they are MINE.

I don't know. I just don't like sharing my toys. I like keeping them as mine.

A New Project

Lately, I've been thinking about building an AI based Mail Cleaner because my inboxes are filled as fuck and I can't manually clean them anymore.

I only need it for the two email accounts that I use daily. I actually have over 10 email accounts, but I only use three. The third one was created recently and is connected to my official email, contact@arnavchauhan.in, which honestly looks and sounds cool and powerful.

Anyways, I definitely can't publish this. Not because it uses sensitive data like email access. It's because of Google's fucking verification process. It would cost me around 600 USD, which is crazy as fuck for a tool that I'll probably be the only one using.

So I'll just build it and use it myself.
